The Priestesses & Sibyls of the Mount Shasta Goddess Temple undertake a significant program of training to develop their skills in spiritual practice, historical research, ritual and healing modalities, divination, and ethics. At the end of their study, graduates of our programs launch projects of their personal design to presence Goddess energy in the world. Each woman is encouraged to pay close attention to both what her heart yearns to do and what her community is needing and asking of her as she formulates her project over a year or more in discernment.
Some of our Priestesses & Sibyls pursue lives of quiet devotion, while others lead community initiatives, teach publicly, publish books, offer peer and spiritual counseling, and host retreats and events. At the end of Priestess & Sibyl training, graduates are invited to participate in our Alumnae Associations: the Council of Wisewomen and the Collegium Sibyllae. In these sisterhoods built on mutual respect, trust earned slowly over time, and support for one another’s work, we gather in honor of the many manifestations of Goddess in our community.
